Certificate of attainment in Greek Language

The Education Office of the Greek Embassy in London announces the establishment of an Examining Body, under the auspices of the Centre for the Greek Language and the Ministry of National Education and Religions with the aim of holding examinations for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek Language.

The above certificate according to Common European Framework for Modern Languages, as defined by the European Council is:

* The only officially worldwide-recognized title of Greek language, which is awarded by the Greek State.

* Considered as precondition for the practice of different professions in Greece, the registration in  institutions of higher education and appointment in state posts.

The candidates can sit for examination in one of the four given levels, considering their level of knowledge and their aiming targets providing that on the day of the examination they have completed the 12th year of age.

The examination will take place on the 13th and 14th of May 2004 on the premises of the Greek Primary School of London in West Acton.

Those interested should apply to entry the examinations directly to the Education Office of the Greek Embassy in London, 1A Holland Park, W11 3TP, from 2nd of February till 27th of March 2004.
