2. Certificate of Attainment in Greek

Candidates are tested on four levels, A, B, C and D. The certificate serves as proof of the successful candidate’s level of attainment in Greek in the work market. It is a requirement for the practice of various professions in Greece. Successful candidates at level C are allowed to register at a Greek institution of higher education, in case they do not have a Greek Secondary Education Certificate. Citizens of European Union who have passed the exams in Level D prove complete knowledge and fluent use of the Greek language and thus be employed in a Greek civil service position.
