Scholars will be required to reside in Greece throughout the term of their award and may not undertake employment or any activity other than that related to the program of study or research proposed in their application.
Scholars pursuing research will do so under the supervision of a member of the academic staff of the receiving institution.

Scholarships are tenable only for the specific period for which they have been awarded. They may not be renewed for more than two years for postgraduate study, or three years in the case of PhD candidates. A scholarship may be renewed upon application by the award holder to the relevant authority in his/her own country which will decide whether to propose such a renewal to the Greek authorities. The renewal of an award will not increase the total allocation of awards available in any one year.
